Dove award nominee and singer / songwriter Audrey Assad recently released a new single titled “Mortal (Live),” which can be heard below. The track debuted last week (Oct 30) and can be heard below.

“My favorite I’ve written in years, and the only one I’ve finished in the last 9 months, more or less,” Assad shared when speaking about the new song. “Sometimes you feel like you’re on fire but you don’t even know where it burns. How does it feel to be mortal”

Assad’s music has always been drawn from a well deep with personal experience and discovery. With each new release, she gives listeners an honest look at the seasonal highs and lows of what has turned out to be a layered and complex spiritual journey.
